Our number one priority at Mankato Playhouse is ensuring the safety of our actors, crew, and audience. We also want to ensure our audience is comfortable returning to our theater to enjoy Mankato's Premier Dinner Theater Experience. In order to achieve this, we have made the following changes in the way that we operate. Below is a list of things we are doing to ensure a safe environment.
- We are selling tables, not tickets - Each table will be listed at different prices based on the number of seats. An amazing upscale 4-course plated dinner can be added and served to you at your table. The price of the meal is based on your meal choice. Table prices do not change by how many people are sitting at the table, therefore, if a table for four is purchased and only three attend, the price does not reduce . Tables will not be shared by multiple parties.
- Reduce the number of tables/seats in the Theater - In order to accommodate the reopening guidelines, we will be reducing our seating capacity to allow more space between tables. This means we are also rearranging our seating chart to meet social distancing guidelines.
- Show Only tickets - Since we are moving to table pricing, show only tickets will be available by purchasing a table without dinner and also once dinner sales close 24 hours before each performance. Show Only tickets can be purchased by calling the box office or 30 min before each show, but only if there are tables available.
- Hand sanitizing stations set up throughout the theater - We will be adding hand sanitizing stations as well as hand sanitizers at each table.
- Masks - Masks are worn by all Mankato Playhouse staff. While the state ordinance permits masks to be removed once seated at your table, we are recommending all patrons wear their masks once the show begins to ensure the safety of our customers, cast, and crew.
- Ensure our caterers are following safety protocols - Catering servers will follow all restaurant guidelines in place at the time of opening including gloves and masks as they serve you your meal.
- Ticket-less check-in - When you arrive at the theater, all you need is the name on your reservation and you will be seated. We will not collect tickets.
- Programs will not be recycled - At the end of each performance, we will have a trash can at the door for you to throw away your program if you choose, however, we recommend keeping the program as a souvenir and so you can remember all the amazing businesses who have put an ad in the program. We also provide a digital program that can be downloaded to your phone using a QR code.
- Tables and chairs will be sanitized before and after each performance - Our ushers and volunteers will be at the theater early and stay after the performance to clean and sanitize all the tables, chairs, and any area our audience comes in contact with.
- Mankato Playhouse Theater is professionally cleaned - Before each weekend performance Fresh Start Cleaning cleans and sanitize the theater using the same cleaning techniques and supplies they use for all their large business clients
**Due to social distancing guidelines, only 21 tables are available for purchase for each show. Empty seats at a sold table will not be sold to another guest and table price is not reduced if all seats are not filled.
